Welcome back to #Year3LD

Hello Year 3,

We hope you had a fantastic Christmas break and are ready to work your socks off once again!

Weekly Reminders

  • We have PE on Tuesday afternoons and you will be required to come into class in your PE kit.
  • Forest School will start on Monday January 17th and will run for 8 weeks.
  • Homework and spellings will be set on Friday in books and it is to be completed by the following Tuesday.
  • Spelling tests will be on Wednesday mornings.
  • Reading Records should be brought into school every day and you should aim to read with your child at least three times a week - signing each time to show that you have done so.

As a school, we have invested in a number of online learning platforms across the curriculum to help keep your brains engaged. All children have access to Bug Club, Mathletics, Times Tables Rock Stars and (login details are in reading records).

Lastly, I have attached below the curriculum newsletter for the term, end of year expectations and some useful resources you may wish to use at home.

Breathing Techniques

Sometimes we all need a little time to relax and reset. Since the beginning of the year, we have been using breathing techniques to start our day and as a strategy to regulate our emotions. This is one of our favourites.
We always welcome new ideas!

Look at our wonderful artwork!

If you go down to the woods today...

Here is a copy of the Year 3 expectations - this covers what your child will be learning throughout the year in Reading, Writing and Maths.
