Year 4 Mr Rushe

Hi Year Four,

Below you will find the online learning plan for this week. We will also be uploading this to Google classroom as it will be easier to share and discuss your work. Please let me know if there is anything at all I can help you with.

Take care and stay safe.

Below, you will find activities for your child to do at home. We would like you to complete the home learning activity linked to our next topic, practise statutory spellings for year 3 and 4 and complete the maths times table challenges. The children know how to complete the maths times table challenges - children are allowed 2 minutes for each column and the Big Maths music can be used for this.  Please do not move on to the next challenge until full marks are achieved on the whole sheet, twice in a row!

Go-To Art Activities

Here are a range of fun Art activities that you can try out at home!

Please watch our video about how we cope when faced with a wobble! We use the 5Bs!

At the end of Year 4, children will sit a national times tables test. It is therefore extremely important that times tables are learnt and further consolidated over the course of the year. TT Rockstars is a great resource for this (link above - all children have log in details in their reading records. Children will be tested DAILY.

Spelling tests will take place every Wednesday.  You should learn your spellings as part of your homework each week.

Here are the spellings that you should know by the end of Year 4.  We will also be learning additional spellings that follow the Year 4 spelling patterns.

Here is a copy of the new Numeracy Framework for Y4 to help you understand what your child will be learning and when.
