Welcome back to #Year6BMSB
I hope everyone had a great Easter feasting on some sweet treats and now, as always, are ready to work hard this term and continue to use a ‘can do’ attitude to reach our potential and enjoy our learning!
This term will be particularly important for pupils to begin the transition into high school. With this in mind, visits will be arranged with high schools, and work will be completed in order to ease any wobbles that pupils may have prior to starting in September. I will attach our newsletter which will contain full details of this term’s objectives.
Our SATS tests will also be held during the Summer term, starting on Monday 9th May until Thursday 12th May. Though the test results will only reflect a small part of what makes our pupils the amazing individuals they are, we will endeavour to prepare and work hard for all pupils to achieve their full potential and to be proud of personal achievements they make.
If you need to speak to me regarding any issues, do not hesitate to contact me and make sure you follow @firsprimarysale and search #Year6BMSB to keep track of all our messages, fun activities and work we produce each week!
Many Thanks,
Mrs Morgans, Mrs Bevington & Miss Abraham

If there are changes to the weekly routine or there are any issues that arise, please let us know by contacting school either by phone or email- firs.admin@trafford.gov.uk
As a school, we have a new focus on reading for pleasure. It is crucial that children in year 6 read regularly, and that the texts they are choosing are appropriate and challenging for their own level. Please see below a suggested reading list for year 6 - full of fantastic books which should challenge and excite them! Happy reading!
Art is a lesson that we love to express our creativity. Sometime our art is linked to a topic or book and sometimes art is linked to festivals and celebrations in the calendar. Our units this year will be closely linked to drawing, printing and sculpting. We focus on the process rather than the outcome; that way all of our work is unique, just like us! We hope you enjoy the images of our work that will be shared on here and our twitter page throughout the year.
