I hope everyone had a great Easter feasting on some sweet treats and now, as always, are ready to work hard this term and continue to use a ‘can do’ attitude to reach our potential and enjoy our learning!
With the SAT's tests cancelled due to the impact Covid has had on our learning so far, it gives us more time to be able to cover the curriculum till the end of the year and catch up on any maths and English work we have been unable to complete so far. As always, the mental health and the wellbeing of our pupils is incredibly important to us therefore we will be spending regular time in school completing activities that enable us to feel relaxed and ready; building our resilience through talking about our feelings; and sharing our emotions about things that affect us.
This term will be particularly important for pupils to begin the transition into high school. With this in mind, visits will be arranged with high schools, and work will be completed in order to ease any worries that pupils may have prior to starting in September. I will attach our newsletter which will contain full details of this term’s objectives, but our highlights include:
It is particularly important that the children continue reading regularly at home to help their understanding of writing and comprehension whilst trying their best with homework in order to consolidate their grammar and maths learning from the week. All pupils have their own individual passwords for Mathletics and Timestable Rockstars. Any extra practise will obviously help their maths knowledge!

We’d all like to welcome Mrs. Morgan to the Year 6 teaching team as she will be working closely in Year 6KP’s class on Thursday’s and Friday’s, as well as Mr. Blake now taking a lead teaching role in Year 6JN’s class Monday-Thursday whilst Mrs. Nolan starts her maternity!

It's the final day of the week! Hope you enjoy today's learning. Well done for all the fantastic work you have done at home. It has been great to hear that so many of you have been working your way through the tasks and growing your brains along the way. We are all proud of you.
