Y4 Rowan

Welcome to Y4 Rowan

#Y4Rowan

Our class teacher is Mrs Gorman and we are also supported by Mr Kirkham and Mrs Heywood throughout the week.

Welcome to our Class Page. This is where you will see all of the fun and exciting things we are participating in this year. We will also continue to welcome any new class members who may join us as we continue to grow our Firs family.

Please find attached the curriculum newsletter for this half term, where you can discover all of our exciting learning opportunities and how we plan to use high quality texts to enhance them.

We will keep this class page and Twitter updated with key information.

Thank you for your continued support.

Weekly Reminders

Each Monday the children will go swimming so we ask that children wear their PE kit and bring their swimming kit in a bag,

On Thursday we have PE so we ask that children come to school wearing their PE kit.

We ask that reading records are in school EVERYDAY. They will be written in periodically throughout the week and will be checked on FRIDAYS. We ask that children read a minimum of 3 times a week and ask that a parent signs their child's book to state this.

Homework and spellings will be given out on Fridays in BOOKS and need to be returned on the following Wednesday. Spelling tests will also be on Wednesday mornings. Please get in contact with us if you have any problems regarding home learning.

If there are changes to the weekly routine or there are any issues that arise, please let us know by contacting school either by phone or email- office@firs.trafford.sch.uk

Our Reading Area

As a school, we have a huge focus on reading for pleasure. It is crucial that children read regularly, and that the texts they are choosing are appropriate and challenging for their own level. Please see below a suggested reading list for year 4 - full of fantastic books! Happy reading.
