New Nursery Pupils and Families

We are very pleased that your child will be joining Firs Primary School in September 2024 and we look forward to a happy and successful partnership. We have sent our Nursery transition offers via email so please check to see if you have received it. If you have not received a copy, please call the office and we will be able to look into this for you.

We will share important information, pictures of our wonderful setting and other useful documents on this page, so please do check back regularly.

We look forward to meeting you all at our Parent Meeting, Open Evening and other events (please see the transition letter below). If you have any questions, please contact the school office.

Getting ready for Nursery

Starting Nursery can be very exciting but we understand that some children (and adults) feel nervous about the change. There are many ways that you can support your child to be as ready as they can be to start school. The poster below is full of ideas of what 'ready for school' may mean for you and your child. The summer holidays are a perfect time to practise independence skills such as toileting, hand washing and getting dressed. We will give you more information at our Parents and Carers Meeting.
