Welcome to Y4 Rowan

#Y4Rowan

Welcome to Year 4 Rowan's class page!

Your class teachers is Miss Cowan. We will also be supported by Mrs Thomson and Miss Gartside throughout the week. We are thrilled to be working with such a wonderful class once again and have lots of exciting things in store to help us to grow our brains and develop our love for learning!

Please find below the curriculum newsletters for this half term, where you can discover all of our exciting learning opportunities and how we plan to use high quality texts to enhance them.

We will keep this class page and ‘X’ (@firsprimarysale) updated with key information.

As always, you are more than welcome to speak to us at school drop offs/pick ups or alternatively you can contact the school by phone or email – office@firs.trafford.sch.uk

Thank you for your continued support. We cannot wait for the exciting term ahead!

Miss Cowan.

Weekly Reminders

P.E. will be on Mondays and Wednesdays so we ask that children come to school wearing their PE kits on those days.

We ask that reading records are in to school every day . They will be written in periodically throughout the week and will be checked on Fridays. We ask that children read a minimum of 3 times a week and ask that a parent signs their child's book to state this.

Homework and spellings will be given out on Fridays in BOOKS and needs to be returned on the following Wednesday. Spelling tests will also be on Wednesday mornings. Please get in contact with us if you have any problems regarding home learning.

Our Classroom

Our Reading Area

As a school, we have a huge focus on reading for pleasure. It is crucial that children read regularly, and that the texts they are choosing are appropriate and challenging for their own level. Please see below a suggested reading list for year 4 - full of fantastic books! Happy reading.
