Thank you to all our families for the time and effort put into creating book character costumes for WBDay! We had an amazing range of costumes and the children loved sharing them in assembly this morning. Mrs Smith kindly organised "Where's Wally?" searches in the Infant and Junior playgrounds. Children in the older classes also enjoyed sharing books with younger pupils.
We raised £200 for Book Aid International, which means that 100 books will be sent to children in poorer parts of the World.
Thanks again.
Plans have been put forward to develop a replacement Community Centre at Firsway. Views of the local community are very important and will shape the future development. A meeting is being held at Coppice Library on Thursday, November 24th between 3.00pm and 5.00pm. Feel free to drop in.
If you are not able to make it, please share your views via the quick survey below.
In line with Trafford's School Meals guidance, we operate a three week rolling programme of menus. This means that the children will be able to choose from the meals on Menu Week 1, followed by Week 2 and then Week 3. The Menu then reverts back to Week 1. If you have any questions regarding the menus, please speak to the school office and we would be happy to help.

We are delighted that we have recently been re-accredited with the LPPA award! We first received this award in 2012 as reflection of the emphasis we place upon involving parents in school life. An assessor joined us for a day before Christmas, and spent the day speaking to children, parents, governors and staff to see if we still meet the criteria for the award.
I am pleased to say that we received a very positive report. Here are some of the highlights...
The full report can be viewed on our "Key Information" section of the website.
We had a fantastic assembly this morning to celebrate our attendance awards. Huge congratulations to all our winners especially the 30 gold award winners who achieved 100% for the whole year.
Special praise must go to Cole Ward in Year 2 who received an extra special award as he has managed 100% attendance for the last 4 years. WOW!!!
The Key Stage 2 Sports Day has just been completed; all the scores have been collated and verified and I am delighted to announce that after 9 gruelling events the teams finished as follows…..
1st SPRUCE 2217 points
2nd CEDAR 2109 points
3rd PINE 1976 points
4th LARCH 1800 points
Congratulations to all the children who took part, you all tried your best and worked excellently as a team, inspiring each other and encouraging your team mates to run faster, jump further and achieve their very best!
Well done to all and thank you to Miss Morgans and the staff who helped to make it such a success.
